1. Initial Setup:
Unboxing and Connecting: Begin by unboxing your Ledger device and connecting it to your computer or mobile device using the provided USB cable or Bluetooth (for Nano X).
Install Ledger Live: Download and install the Ledger Live app from the official website. This app is essential for managing your cryptocurrency holdings and is compatible with both Windows and macOS, as well as mobile devices running iOS and Android.
2. Device Initialization:
Power On and Set Up PIN: Once connected, power on your Ledger device. You'll be prompted to create a secure PIN code. This PIN is crucial for accessing your device and managing your cryptocurrencies.
Backup Recovery Phrase: After setting up your PIN, you’ll be given a 24-word recovery phrase. Write this phrase down on the provided recovery sheet and store it in a safe place. This phrase is your only way to recover your assets if your device is lost or damaged.
3. Install Apps on Ledger Device:
Access Ledger Live: Open the Ledger Live app and follow the instructions to install cryptocurrency apps (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum) onto your Ledger device. Each app allows you to manage different types of cryptocurrencies securely.
4. Secure and Manage:
Add Accounts and Transactions: Once the apps are installed, you can add accounts for each cryptocurrency and begin managing your assets. Use Ledger Live to send, receive, and track your transactions securely.
